PROS: Uses TWL Dictionary, has dictionary look up
CONS: Very difficult to see last move played. No option to pin move list open.
First, this game IS compatible with Windows 7. I was a bit concerned with that when I purchased it but so far it has worked flawlessly. What I love is that this is the first computer scrabble game I have played that uses the official TWL dictionary and not OSPD. The letters and the game board are very easy to read and the overall functions of the game are simple and easy to use without being flashy. It is possible to see a move list by selecting it from a drop down list, but the move list disappears after each move. Also, while it will show you the last word your opponent played it does not show you or tell you where that play was, so sometimes it takes a bit of searching.
Overall, this game is definitely worth the money and is much better than some older versions. However, if you are not familiar with TWL dictionary you may not recognize many of the words used as they are not in OSPD.

The new Scrabble Plus game is just O.K. It is somewhat hard to know what points the computer player is getting, (you have to add them up, I not even sure when they pass). I also am wondering what dictionary is being used, I have the latest Scrabble 4th edition dictionary and a lot of the words the computer player uses are not in it. My first choice is still the Scrabble Complete.

worked fine for one day, then could not open it on vista and 64 bit computer.

I love Scrabble Plus…It works just fine on Windows7. If you’re addicted to Scrabble, this is the game to have. I have only one complaint – it doesn’t have a built in Scrabble dictionary to refer to.Scrabble Plus SB

I was excited that this game had clabbers, which is scrabble that allows any anagram of a word to be played. However, the software is very buggy. Just as every word created in a play in regular scrabble game must be valid, every word created in a clabbers play must be an anagram of a valid word. However, a number of ‘anagrams’ the computer created could not form any word that is in OWL2 or the older OSPD dictionary I have, and some of them seemed to be suffixes, prefixes or acronyms (e.g., FY – is that fiscal year or suffix?).
The genius often gets stuck with the “gears in her head turning” (it shows this) and I have to pause and resume several times to get her to put her word down.
The fact that I’m playing the genius in clabbers – and have won almost every game – was disappointing after a few (albeit gleeful) games. I’m not a genius level player in other software OS versions I’ve owned.
I had read in the initial review that the genius was brilliant, so when I kept beating her in clabbers, I tried playing her in regular scrabble, and her first word was AUA. American Unitarian Association?
Truly a waste of money and I’m done with it after a week.
